This licence is between the operator of notdocs, described on the legal notice ("notdocs", "we"), and you. It covers the notdocs software: the command line tool and the local daemon published on npm as notdocs, the container image, and every other copy of the software we distribute. The hosted service at notdocs.dev is covered by the terms of service instead.
1. What you may do
You may install and run the software, unmodified, on machines you control, for any purpose, personal or commercial, free of charge, and let it talk to the hosted service with an account of yours.
2. What you may not do
You may not copy or distribute the software to others, except by pointing them at where we publish it; modify it or make works derived from it; offer it to third parties as a hosted or managed service; remove or alter its notices; or decompile, disassemble or otherwise reverse engineer it, except to the extent applicable law expressly permits, in which case that law applies.
3. Ownership
The software is ours and licensed, not sold. Everything this licence does not grant stays with us. The software uses third-party components under their own licences, which come with those components and govern them.
4. No warranty
The software is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We are not liable for indirect loss, loss of profit or loss of data, and our total liability under this licence is limited to €100. Nothing in this licence limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law, and nothing in it affects rights that the law says cannot be waived.
5. Termination
This licence ends automatically if you breach it. When it ends, stop using the software and delete your copies. Sections 3 to 6 survive.
6. Governing law
This licence is governed by the laws of Greece, and disputes are brought before the courts of Athens, Greece, without prejudice to the mandatory rights of consumers to sue and be sued in their own country.
