No consent banner, on purpose
notdocs.dev sets no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, so there is nothing to ask your consent for. The only cookies come from Clerk and exist to keep you signed in; they are strictly necessary for a service you asked for, which the ePrivacy rules exempt from consent.
Cookies
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
__session | Clerk | Your signed-in session, on notdocs.dev and every organization subdomain | Session, renewed while you use the app |
Other __clerk_* and __client_uat cookies | Clerk | Sign-in state and protection against forged requests during sign-in | Set by Clerk; see Clerk's cookie documentation |
The Clerk cookies are set only when you sign in. A custom domain does not receive them, which is why sign-in happens on the organization's subdomain.
Browser storage
The app keeps a few things in your browser's local storage. They never leave your browser and are not cookies.
| Key | What it holds |
|---|---|
notdocs.theme | Light or dark, if you chose one |
nd.rail.pinned | Whether the side panel is pinned |
notdocs.ai | The model you picked for the assistant, and your own gateway key if you entered one |
notdocs.chats.<project> | Your assistant conversations for a project, up to thirty |
Clear your browser's site data for notdocs.dev to remove all of them. Doing so signs you out and forgets your conversations and any gateway key you entered.
Changing your mind
Because nothing here needs consent, there are no preferences to manage. If we ever add a cookie that does, this page will describe it and a consent control will appear before it is set.
