# notdocs > Pages, tasks and decisions are markdown files in git. You edit them in a Notion-like workspace; your coding agents edit them over MCP. Nothing syncs, because both of you are editing the same files. Documents are markdown files with YAML frontmatter in a git repository. `type` picks the schema (page, task, decision, spec, meeting, launch, or custom types from notdocs.config.json). A fenced block with the `notdocs` language is a query that renders as a board, table or list. Comments live in `.notdocs/comments/.yaml`. Coding agents use the same workspace over MCP (stdio locally, streamable HTTP hosted at https://notdocs.dev/api/mcp) with OAuth or a scoped project token, or through the `notdocs` CLI. ## Product - [Features](https://notdocs.dev/features): Everything notdocs does, from the editor and query blocks to merges, search and agents, with the page that explains each. - [Templates](https://notdocs.dev/templates): Every built-in template with the file it starts, from a task to a data processing agreement. - [Agents](https://notdocs.dev/agents): Give Claude Code, Cursor or any MCP client the workspace: tokens, tools, resources and prompts. - [CLI](https://notdocs.dev/cli): Every notdocs command: documents, import, comments, tokens and the organization, for a local folder or a hosted workspace. - [Changelog](https://notdocs.dev/changelog): What changed in notdocs, from the CHANGELOG in the repository. - [Switch from Notion](https://notdocs.dev/switch-from-notion): Import a Notion export as typed markdown documents in your repository. - [Switch from Obsidian](https://notdocs.dev/switch-from-obsidian): Import an Obsidian vault and keep working on the same files. - [Pricing](https://notdocs.dev/pricing): Free for one person, Solo and Team for a few.
